Did you know there’s samurai metal? Whispered hails from Finland yet plays what they call samurai metal. It’s kind of a mish-mash of power metal grooves with blast beats & thrash vocals. There’s also a bass solo! A honest to god bass solo! And flutes!

I half expect this to show up in a jrpg at some point, like the lead-in and song to a major boss battle.
