Friday Morning Metal – Dragonforce – Ring of Fire

Oh man two in a row of Dragonforce, but this seems like a good one to toss up. So on their upcoming album, Maximum Overload, Dragonforce does a cover of Ring of Fire. It’s like the fastest ring of fire ever. They do a good job translating the horn work to the noodly crazy guitars you expect, with a great break to guitar solo thrown in for good measure. It’s so technical and a little goofy, but these guys do a great job covering one of Johnny Cash’s greatest songs. I also enjoy that the vocal component is about the same pace, and yet there’s probably two orders of magnitude more drumming than in the original.
