Whoah someone made a proggy cover of a battle song from Destiny. And it sounds quite unshabby. Misha Mansoor, who goes by Bulb, just released this, and it has the epic guitars and drums and everything that you’d expect in a video game song turned metal.

He’s also the founder of the band Periphery, which I hadn’t heard until today. And the first video I ran across, Alpha, has another video game vibe to it. The vocals give a very American Metal vibe, with the guy harmonizing while someone else growling. I’ll be honest, for a song that was released in January, Alpha’s vocals make it sound like it’s from 2003. Just not my jam. The guitar & drums & stuff are fantastic, though, so hopefully they make more instrumentals.
