Friday Morning Metal – Brendon Small – My Name is Murder

NEW GALAKTIKON! If you feel there’s a hole in your heart, deep as a well, and the only thing that can fill it is Dethklok, then you’re well aware Brendon Small’s Galaktikon fills that role pretty well. And he has a sequel album coming out soon! To give people a taste, My Name is Murder was released today. And now I want the whole album out. Like rights now.

The vocals aren’t quite as explosiony as Nathan Explosions, but the composition is all Brendon Small and very much Dethklokly. The guitar solo is noodly and awesome and kinda unnerving. I assume this is another rock opera concept album, and this song is when our hero meets the final boss and it seems all is lost. Or something.

I do hope he tours for this album, would be fun to hear it live. Or like Laser Zeppelin. Or General Inzanity by Zentipede!

Friday Morning Metal – Dethklok – Dethalbum III

Greetings and salutations! Dethklok’s Dethalbum III came out Tuesday, so they get a Friday morning metal treatment. It’s a pretty great metal album, the solos sound like what Brendon Small put out in Galaktikon, his epic space rock opera.

I’ve listened to it a few times and it continues the progression that Dethalbum II took. You get the same guitarmonies and face melting guitar solos, crazy double kick for entire songs, and NATHAN EXPLOOOOOOSIONNNNNNN.

For being built around a cartoon poking fun at metalheads and taking a Spinal Tap-ish look at being “The biggest metals band in the knowns universe,” every Dethalbum stands on its own as a fantastic metal album.

Here’s Crush the Industry:

So the album is awesome and you should buy it on the Amazon. Dethalbum III

Friday Morning Metal – Brendon Small – Dangertits

Brendon Small’s Galaktikon is a concept space metal album, and totally awesome. And they even have a song called Dangertits which sounds like a track off a Dethklok album. It definitely sounds like the song that would start when you’re about to get into an epic space battle with Space Odin or something. Or a killer followup to “Crush My Battle Opponents’ Balls” which I still would love to hear a full version of.
