Friday Morning Metal – Dream Evil – Antidote

Dream Evil is made of metal, and they have a new album coming out May 26th. To get everyone amped up, they’re releasing a few videos, including this one for Antidote. Something about heavy metal guys all dressed up doing household chores is pretty awesome.

The song is pure Dream Evil, big and bombastic and fast, with the skull splitting vocals you expect and Pat Power ruling the universe from his drumkit. The guitar solo has the proper amount of noodly goodness, as is necessary in kickass metal.

Also the song’s like three and a half minutes long. They don’t overstay whatsoever. So enjoy this big power metal anthem that I’m sure would sound totally badass live. Hopefully they come to the US so I can see it!

Friday Morning Metal – Dream Evil – Dream Evil

If only the album was called Dream Evil, instead of Six, we’d have another Metal Trifecta! Dream Evil are the purveyors of goofy power metal, with songs about Heavy Metal Jesus, and also being so metal and so is his wife. Oh and their drummer’s name is Pat Power, which is pretty rad.

So this song has a lot of the same feel as their other songs, methodical driving drums, like you’re marching into metal Valhalska or something, with killer guitars and solid vocals on top. Almost sounds like the Book of Heavy Metal. The guitar solo starts slow and soars like it’s 1985. Because that’s necessary from time to time.

BEHOLD! Dream Evil – Dream Evil.

And it’s not a cover of Dio’s Dream Evil. Which is right here.
