Woo heavy metal with a lady singer who also plays guitar! Crystal Viper has a good shreddy sound, and the singer has that growly edge in her voice that I much prefer to the “opera singer lady on top of noodly power metal” stuff that seems to be more prevalent.

Also their other guitarist is both left handed and rocks out the solos with aplomb. It’s unfortunate that lefties die earlier, usually a result of using things designed for right handed people, like chainsaws and toilets.

The album comes out next week, and I’m looking forward to hearing the whole thing. In the meantime, enjoy The Witch is Back!
