THRASH! Spotify told me I should give Lich King a try, so I did, and now I really like this band. Apparently they’ve been around since 2004 and have been blowing up brains with a great thrashy metal sound. The guitars are noodly and great on the solos, there’s sufficient chug during the verses. It’s just apt.

I don’t think I have a whole ton to add to this one. Their newest album appears to have a Lich King skanking on it, so there’s that.

Oh and on that album they do a cover of Hot for Teacher that is fantastic. The drummer really nails that swingy sound in the intro, and the guitars punch you in the face with a chunkier version of what EVH put together way back in the way back.
