Back in college, my roommate had difficulty waking up. So he set his stereo to play a song every morning. Pantera’s The Great Southern Trendkill. We lived in the dorms at the time, and sometimes he’d forget to turn off the alarm when he’d head out of town for the weekend. So Phil would scream at me to wake me up on Saturdays. Less than pleasant. I got really good at waking up as soon as I heard the stereo turn on, turn it off before the song plays, then fall back asleep. Anyway, I’ve heard that lead-in scream so many times that it’s now associated with having to go to class, watching Price is Right, and eating horrible dining hall food.
