Last week I caught Witchburn at the Shakedown, as the middle act of a death metal palooza. Did seem pretty weird, since the lead singer has a fantastic set of pipes and doesn’t really do the same kind of guttural flourishes you hear with death metal. Totally fantastic stuff, and I almost convinced a friend who does not like metal to enjoy it.

Anyway, here’s a big chunk of them playing at El Corazon a couple years ago.
